3 easy steps to conference call with CallControl VoIP
Did you know that one of the powerful features of CallControl is the ability to conduct conference calls with multiple external parties? The feature allows you dial into the conference with a simple 3-or 4-digit extension and PIN-number combination. To invite guests to join the conference call, simply send them your main company number, the conference extension and the PIN-number.
Once we have set up your internal conference call extension and PIN-number, these are the three easy steps to dial into the conference call:
For the CallControl VoIP user:
1) Dial the conference extension (for example 711) from your desktop or soft phone, then press the # key. A voice answers and prompts you to enter the PIN-number.
2) Enter the PIN-Number (for example, 9999), this time without the # key. A voice greets you to the conference line. You are prompted to state your name (so you can be announced to other members of the conference call)
3) Wait for the ‘beep’, then state your name and confirm with the # key. You are now in the conference call and a voice informs you of any other callers already present.
For external callers joining the conference call there is one extra step:
1) Call the main company number of the organization who is hosting the conference call. For example, for Infinity IT Success, call 02 105 4068. The IVR greets you with a message, prompting you to dial the extension of the user you would like to reach.
2) Dial the conference extension (for example 711), then press the # key. A voice answers and prompts you to enter the PIN-number.
3) Enter the PIN-Number (for example, 9999), this time without the # key. A voice greets you to the conference line. You are prompted to state your name (so you can be announced to other members of the conference call)
4) Wait for the ‘beep’, then state your name and confirm with the # key. You are now in the conference call and a voice informs you of any other callers already present.
